Thank you for your articles. I believe that Palestinian journalists are too often overlooked here in the States.
Also, seeing that you live in Birzeit brought back a bit of nostalgia. I lived in Abu Kosh and attended Birzeit University in the summer of 2000. It was easily the most welcoming place I've ever been.

Benny Morris discussed the issue in an interview some time ago in HaAretz. The erstwhile post-Zionist said that Ben-Gurion had cold feet. It's a non-starter since Islamic Palestinian Arabs claim what that they call Falastin is Ard al-Arab since 638 C.E. when Mohamed came upon what the Romans called Palestine.Just by coincedence, the Jews, for whom the land was called the province of Judea six hundred years earlier, were expelled by the Byzantines tweny-one years before, leaving empty villages for Allah, right? Nonetheless, the Jews have yet to rellinquish their claim on what they continue to regard as the Land of Israel. By the way, they returned to their homeland and . . .
I fear this is an issue that upon which we cannot agree. Allow me to offer a proposal. Let us try to live in peace, waiting for Mar Elias, or our Messiah. Either way we are bound to accept whatever he/she tells us. As we both believe everything comes from from God, or min Allah. It's the same difference.
